Democratic US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton met with FBI officials on Saturday as part of a probe of her use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state, in what a campaign spokesman described as a "voluntary interview.""Secretary Clinton gave a voluntary interview this morning about her email arrangements while she was secretary," said the spokesman, Nick Merrill, in a statement emailed to reporters on Saturday.The FBI is in the final stages of its investigation into how Clinton and her aides handled classified information.
Clinton's meeting comes just one day after US Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she will accept the recommendations of FBI investigators and prosecutors on whether or not to pursue charges against the former secretary of state."The recommendations will be reviewed by career supervisors in the Department of Justice and in the FBI, and by the FBI director, and then as is the common process, they present it to me and I fully expect to accept their recommendations," Lynch said in a televised interview with the Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart at the Aspen Ideas Festival.Related: Loretta Lynch will accept FBI's recommendations in Clinton email investigation
