Premiere: Sex On Toast are Back and Cheesier Than Ever

The band go full-1990s R&B on "4 U."

Bubble baths, red roses and screaming into the rain in romantic desperation; it was only a matter of time until Sex On Toast made it here. One of Melbourne's most nichely-beloved bands, the soul-funk-pop-R&B outfit have been responsible for enduring goers for years now. Songs that really hit the spot—the spot you sometimes forget about that Luther Vandross used to fill, and now all you've got is Bruno Mars and sometimes the 1975 (if that Matty Healy would yell a little less).

2013's "Takin' Over" into 2014's "Hold My Love" into 2015's "Oh, Loretta!". All absolute thumpers to be revered by a select few for all of time. But the band has been steadily moving into cheesier territories—both live and on record—and beginning to resemble a boy band more each day.

Which explains their new video, premiering today on Noisey. "4 U", directed by Nima Nabili Rad, is practically Early 1990s Boy Band Video bingo. Watch it below.
