Get Spiritual With New Age Group’s Punchy Power Pop

The Canberra band prove that the Australian capital isn't just one soulless cess pit.

New Age Group aren't actually a new age group. Fake news. The Canberra band aren't event that new and have been floating about the Australian capital from as far back as 2014. Their catchy power pop and punk is more what The Nerves would sound like if they'd spent their summers holidaying at Batemens Bay. Regardless it's had me hooked since I first heard a demo a few years ago and today I was excited to hear their new track "Losing My Mind" from a forthcoming 7' on Paradise Daily Records.

Featuring vocalist Dominic Shanahan, who fronted tropical punks The Fighting League, the band blast through a track has the wiry buzz that brings to mind the songwriting skills of Texan power punk king Mark Ryan (The Marked Men, Mind Spiders) or Dublin's No 1's.

Fast, furious and fun.

New Age Group's 7" will be available soon through Paradise Daily Records.
