It's the 9th of July, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still president of FIFA.

Speaking of Messi, as I reported yesterday, he's possibly taking a break from the Argentinian national team after heavy criticism and the assault of his family at the Copa America final. The Iker Casillas transfer from Real Madrid to Porto is officially official. It's sensational news, insofar as Casillas is one of the most important Madrid players of all time, and he's been cast aside by the only club he's ever played for. Over at FUSION, Fernando Vila has an excellent rundown of how Casillas and Real Madrid fell out.

After a drawn-out, emoji-filled saga, Deandre Jordan has signed with the Los Angeles Clippers.
