In the new video for David Douglas' "White Heat Blood," featuring Dutch singer-songwriter Blaudzun, you are cordially invited to an intimate woodland rave frequented by sexy fairy pagans pouring cocaine all over their faces. Music video director Madlen Rosalie Folk conceived the sun-dappled hallucination while studying at the Film Academy in Ludwisburg, Germany. Born in 1991, she has already worked on several commercials and experimental films, making her officially more accomplished than you are.

"Madlen contacted me in the Spring of this year," says David Douglas, who just released his new album Moon Observations in May. "She enjoyed my music… and she already had some great ideas for this video, so I gave her total freedom to realize her vision." Folk's #softgoth dream sequence plays charmingly against Douglas' buoyant rhythms and Blaudzun's Antony and the Johnsons-style falsetto. All in all, it's a powerful piece of digital pop with the potential to transcend the confines of the electronic genre.
