Thom Green of Alt-J Puts a Spooky Spin on Wolf Alice's "Moaning Lisa Smile"

The up-and-coming British indie-outfit gets their track touched by a really famous British indie-outfit.

London four-piece Wolf Alice stormed on the scene in 2014 with a much-blogged about EP entitled Creature Songs, the likes of which birthed the moody production "Moaning Lisa Smile." Becoming a favorite during the band's captivating live shows, the track encapsulates the style that led them to become one of the standout indie acts of the last year. Now in the spring of 2015, not only is Wolf Alice gearing up for the release of their debut album My Love is Cool (out June 23 on Dirty Hit/RCA), but their track "Moaning Lisa Smile" has just been remixed by Thom Green, of global-sensation British indie-outfit, Alt-J.

For a budding British band like Wolf Alice, getting your track touched by one of your nation's current, really-famous musical heroes like Alt-J is probably a sign that only good things are to come. Also, this remix kicks total ass. Thom Green's spin of the track serves to take things far deeper into a soul-grabbing electronica realm, with the appearance of spacey, distorted synths, and a mind-twisting, pitched vocal that displays some of the far-reaching sonic possibilities of Wolf Alice's original work.

As Theo of Wolf Alice so fittingly described to THUMP, "this remix is one to wind to."
