When The Creators Project descended upon the 798 Arts District in Beijing on September 17-19, we set up exhibitions across several of the district’s world-renowned gallery spaces featuring works from an international collection of artists and designers. Many of the artists featured were from the local Chinese underground art scene and have a distinct East Asian flare to their work, often resulting in a jarring and poignant contrast with the technology used to create them. Over the course of the 3-day event, thousands of visitors viewed and interacted with these art projects, but for those of you who couldn’t make it out to Beijing, our slideshow above will offer you a glimpse at the awe-inspiring work coming out of China these days. Also included in the mix of images are works from some of our favorite creators like Muti Randolph, Radical Friend and Vega Wang.
