And so the servitude of robots begins. Or rather continues, as we already have robots to clean our floors, to support our aching backs in the form of a robot bed and now, thanks to the brains at Panasonic, we have a robot that can wash our hair. Created to assist workers at hospitals and care centers, the device has 16 human-like fingers with two arms with power detection sensors which scan the human head 3-dimensionally so it doesn’t apply too much pressure and, presumably, pop your head like a water balloon. It can also give head massages, but no news yet if it can bore you with recommendations about where you should go on vacation.[via Engadget]
