Old School NES Cartridges Used As Canvas For 8-bit Art

Buy some “demade” Halo artwork and you’ll get a random NES game as a bonus.

The “demake” is a common sight in today’s video-gaming world, offering us lots of “what if” scenarios that imagine how the graphics for your favorite modern games might have looked if they came out back in a time when resolutions were lower and gaming was blockier.

But the artists over at 72 Pins have gone a step further—they’ve not only reimagined modern video titles as NES cartridges, they’ve used actual NES cartridges as the canvas for painting their concepts onto. Best of all, the original title is still playable, you just need to dust off your old NES and plug it in to find out what it is.

Check out some of the pieces below. You can go buy them here.
