All this week we are profiling some of the young creative people who have been shortlisted for The Creative 30. Today we feature Chrissie Abbott, 25, an illustrator from London
"There's something beautifully simple about Chrissie's work. She lets things happen instinctively. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next." - Valerie Phillips, photographer.Chrissie studied illustration at the London College of Communication before a three year stint designing record sleeves and now works as a freelance illustrator…Her drawings are vividly technicolor, utilising pattern work and found images, and often touching on themes of nature. She has worked with an array of clients including Virgin, Orange, MTV, Nylon, The Barbican and The New York Times as well as designing T-shirts for 2K, Urban Outfitters and Lowlife. Chrissy is obsessed with typography, 70s poster art and old photographs and would one day like to live by the sea.
