Good morning, America. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

It's the 27th of October, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still, technically, president of FIFA.

Yesterday, I wrote about how former DFB chief Theo Zwanziger basically threw Franz Beckenbauer under the bus, saying Beckenbauer was definitely involved in the (so far) unexplained multi-million euro payments to FIFA, which allegedly were used to buy votes for the 2006 World Cup. Beckenbauer has now come forward and acknowledged that he did in fact know about the payment. He called it a "mistake," but stood by the DFB's assertion that the money wasn't used to buy votes.

Earnie Stewart, the Director of Football at AZ Alkmaar, has long been the most senior American staff-member at any top-flight club in Europe. Yesterday, it was announced that Stewart, who played in the MLS, will be joining the Philadelphia Union as the club's new Sporting Director.

MLS awarded its golden ball to Sebastian Giovinco, who I think is the best player to ever play in MLS while still in his prime. (Obviously, some other, older players have better resumes.) The league did a nice job of breaking down the Italian's breathtaking season.

"Oh, my word!"

Things at Chelsea are becoming more ridiculous by the minute. Manager Jose Mourinho was charged by the FA for misconduct after running his mouth at the ref during his team's 2-1 loss to West Ham over the weekend. Chelsea has also been fined £25,000 because the team accumulated so many yellow cards during the match (6). Mourinho is now the most popular bet to be the next manager fired in the Premier League. He's reportedly made contact with PSG and Inter, in case Chelsea let him go.

Real Madrid apparently received 10 million euros of European Union money, which obviously is the source of great political controversy in Spain. (Link in Spanish)

The 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships is the source of the most compelling sports photo for the second day in a row. I could train for the rest of my life and never imitate this move by the U.S.'s Donnell Whittenburg.
