Iceland Beat Netherlands 2-0 With Volley Blast

Gylfi Sigurdsson leads Iceland over Netherlands with two goals, including this rocket off a set piece.

Gylfi Sigurdsson had both goals for Iceland in today's 2-0 win over Netherlands in a Euro 2016 qualifier. The first was off a penalty drawn by Birkir Bjarnason, and the second was this rocket volley (which is a pretty sweet Icelandic metal band name, by the way).

Just before halftime, Iceland earned a corner kick and after pin-balling around in the scrum in front of the net, the ball floated over to Sigurdsson in space. He contorted himself to hit the high volley and smoked it into the top of the goal. Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen looked like a poor rag doll flopping around trying to stop it.
