The fallout from Green vs Mundine II continues with Mundine calling out Green on social media and demanding a third fight following the judging debacle that dominated their rematch.

Anthony Mundine has lashed out at Danny Green on social media, calling him a "pussy," a "bum," and demanding a third fight with the West Australian after their rematch earlier this month descended into a judging farce.

While Green was eventually declared the winner in a majority points decision, the result has been mired in scandal ever since. Team Mundine has lodged a preliminary protest with the Australian Boxing Federation calling for a 'no decision' on the grounds of nearly 50 aspects of the fight they say were questionable. Among the most damning was one judge's failure to deduct a point from Danny Green in the seventh round for an illegal forearm, despite the referee instructing him to do so.

Green vs Mundine II got off to a hugely controversial start when Mundine hit Green with what many are calling a 'cheap shot' in the opening round. Prior to the incident the referee had stepped into seperate the fighters but, importantly, never said the words "stop" or "break." So when Green let his guard down, Mundine hit him with a short left that left staggering around the ring and eventually sent him to the canvas.

Just who was in the wrong remains contentious.

"I mean, protect yourself at all times. The referee didn't say stop but the fact that the referee was there probably indicates that he should have stopped," said the commentator live on the broadcast.

Speaking to SEN radio on Sunday, Mundine confirmed there was no call from the referee to stop.

"I saw an opportunity man. The ref didn't say break, he didn't say stop, he just said let him go," he said.

"To get a punch out it's like a camera flash. When you see an opening, it's there one minute then it's gone. As soon as I saw it I took it," he said, also adding, "You're told before you come into the ring, 'protect yourself at all times unless I say stop or break,' and I didn't hear one of them words."

With Green on his haunches, the referee had wanted to stop the fight but Green refused. When the referee asked him to name the ringside doctor as per protocol and Green managed to at least get the last name right, the fight was allowed to continue leaving at least one ringside medical official furious. [Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Dr Lou Lewis, one of the ringside doctors, slammed the decision.](Mundine on the other hand has been telling anyone who'll listen that he deserves a third.)

"They didn't take care of the boxer. If it happened in rugby league you'd be suing people," he said.

"He (Green) couldn't punch with any power and he was huffing and puffing. He was fighting on instinct more than anything else. A heavy puncher, in the same weight class as Green, could have done serious damage."

Lewis also told the Telegraph that the judge's failure to deduct a point from Green for his seventh round cheap shot was just as poor.

"If he scores that round 10-8 like the other two judges, it's a majority draw," Dr Lewis said.

"This is something that should never be repeated again. Referees should be held accountable and so should doctors."

Several leading analysts and commentators scored the fight to Mundine on the night, including former world champion turned commentator Barry Michael.

"Green fought back valiantly but sitting here he wasn't landing clean shots. He was throwing punches that were hitting the shoulders, whereas Mundine was continually landing with the jab," he said.

"I don't see that the decision was correct, I'm sorry."

Green has been quick to hose down any talk of a third fight. Mundine on the other hand has been telling anyone who'll listen that he wants one and he'll "whip" Green if he gets the chance.

"He knows he never won the fight, I know he never won the fight," Mundine told SEN Radio.

"To be gypped like that, to be robbed like that, it breaks your heart, man. Yeah, course I want number three. I wanna whip his arse, man. This time I really feel that I can hurt him bad in the last fight and I wanna put an end to his career," he said.

Mundine also said he'd prefer to do it in Perth so all of Green's family and friends can be on hand to watch.

"I'm ready to go, 50-50 like the last fight. I'll fight him in Perth. I've been thinking long and hard about this. I wanna beat him and whip him and hurt him in his own backyard, in his own home, in Perth, so all his family can come, all his friends can come, and witness him getting fried," he said.
