The Memories' New Record Is A Super No-Fi Zoner

The latest banger from the great northwestern blanket fort.

When you’ve put in a full Portland workweek, you know you deserve to kick back on the front porch, crack open an artisanal microbrew, and throw some chill tunes on the jambox. That’s where the Memories come in. They’re a new band from the big northwest blanket fort that’s got all of us angst-ridden east coasters craving naps and weed.

The band plays zoned-out, no-fidelity folk-rock that makes Nico look like she’d completed five years of N.A. The band originally released their self-titled debut on their tape label, Gnar Tapes, but Underwater Peoples released the vinyl this week—you can pick up the physical copy right here. If you’re on the fence you should probably click that little play button down there and listen to it for free.
