Earlier this month, we reported on the miniature olloclip ‘gallery for ants’ in Huntington Beach, California, but halfway around the world, a Scottish audiovisual studio was working on its exact opposite: a drum machine for giants. Designers Ray Audiovisual had been planning to build the 9-ft Roland TR-909—the classic analog drum machine employed by everyone from Kanye West to friend of The Creators Project, Plastikman—since June, and finally, the interactive sculpture has come to fruition. They team was kind enough to post their assembly video to their Tumblr, and immortalized it with a celebratory jam session— giant or otherwise, this analog device has still got the groove. Now, all the team needs is to borrow Michel Gondry’s giant hands…
