A lot can change in two years—just ask Discwoman. The New York-based collective founded by Frankie Hutchinson, Emma Burgess-Olson a.k.a. UMFANG, and Christine Tran has gone from throwing a two-day event at a local club to throwing parties worldwide (including a video-documented trip to Mexico City), all the while promoting much-needed discussion about topics such as diversity, inclusiveness, and equality in electronic music.

Ahead of their upcoming second anniversary, Discwoman announced its first European tour today. DJs Bearcat, DJ Haram, Umfang and Volvox will represent the crew during their stops in Berlin, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and more between August 13-September 11; between parties, they will also be conducting educational events including a free CDJ workshop and a discussion on how to bring politics (back) to the dancefloor. View the full tour schedule below.

"We honestly can't believe we're still doing this, what started as just an idea to throw two-day party has turned into so much more and we couldn't be happier to be traveling to Europe with a crew of a wonderfully talent DJs and producers," Hutchinson tells THUMP. "We've all worked really hard but also have worked hard because people and our community have been so encouraging. It doesn't come without its bullshit and hard times, but everything's relative and we feel very fortunate to be able to keep on doing this."

As a warm-up to the tour, THUMP's received an exclusive mix from UMFANG, whose new track we premiered yesterday. The mix, which she says is inspired by "UR electro and experimental noise music," is titled "Beyond Binaries" to reflect her aim for non-binary thinking. "I was particularly feeling defeated by the idea of men profiting off of my work while also feeling incredibly driven by the same idea," she added. Listen to the brain-cell-scrambling mix below.
