PSG and Chelsea are halfway through their Champions League match and we are being deprived of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Zlatan was sent off in the 31st minute on a controversial red card after both Zlatan and Oscar went after a loose ball and wound up smacking legs.One man, Zlatan, played it like a regular play. Guys bumped legs, no big deal, get on with it. Another man, Oscar, turned into a damn fish out of water, flopping around like…a fish out of damn water. The referee's reaction was swift and capricious: Zlatan was sent off, as Oscar lay writhing on the ground.
This is an incredibly weak red card. Weak like Oscar. Weak like everything not made of the finest Swedish genes and the very light from the sun herself. Know this, those who would see him undone, Zlatan's revenge will be just as swift, and just as capricious.
