Trailing Wichita State by two, with about 30 seconds left, Indiana had a few options to prolong and possibly win the game. One option would be to just sort of see what happens, you know, play it by ear. Another option would be to foul a Wichita St. player, preferably one with a poor foul shot percentage, hope he misses at least one of them, and get the ball back for a shot to win or tie. These are things head coach Tom Crean had to weigh in the final seconds of the game. We're not sure what he was planning and since Wichita St. won 81-76—setting up a Sunday matchup with Kansas—we're indulging in a little bit of hindsight, but we thought the question was worth asking.
