Adrian Peterson Barfed Because He Swallowed Chewing Tobacco, Politely Declines More on Sideline

Adrian Peterson was listed as questionable today because he swallowed some chewing tobacco and threw it up. He's playing and someone offered him some more on the sideline.

Adrian Peterson was downgraded to questionable going into today's game because of an undisclosed illness. As we later learned during FOX's broadcast of Vikings-Lions, that illness was due to a turbulent flight into Detroit, which caused him to swallow chewing tobacco. Jay Glazer reported that it was due to shellfish, but Chris Meyers told viewers before the game that it really was the chew. If you've ever seen someone swallow the stuff…it's not good.

Peterson wound up starting today and, despite the issue, it looked like this guy was offering AP a little bit of the hair of the dog just before the second half got underway, which Peterson politely declined. It might be because he still can't stomach the stuff, or it may be that he just knows the rules.
