Hyped: The Week In Links 10/28

Busy week? Here’s some things you may have missed.

On the blog this week we looked at British pop artist Eduardo Paolozzi and learned of Gabriel Barcia-Colombo’s hobby of collecting people in jars. We had Spanish audiovisual auteurs No-Domain take part in our tech Q&A, comic books went generative, UVA went miniature, cinema got hacked, and we introduced Drunken Tiger and Lumpens’ awesome Kill Bill-esque music video, and welcomed new Creators Chromeo.

On the tubes, this was just a small part of what was taking place.

· Holy #@$*&: It’s the interactive periodic table of muthableeping swearing.

· FAT Lab have been occupying the internet with their animated gif army for the last week or so. Perfect for the armchair revolutionary.

· Nothing to see here, just a biped robot riding a bicycle.

· According to Microsoft the future’s going to be pretty amazing. And looks a bit like the film Gattaca too.

· Before sampling, before synthesizers there was magnetic tape, the manipulation of which produced some of the strangest sounds ever recorded. This documentary hails the pioneers and unsung heroes.
