Greetings from Ex-Otago

We just got a postcard, a handwritten fucking postcard, from the guys in Ex-Otago.

We just got a postcard, a handwritten fucking postcard, from the guys in Ex-Otago. How amazing is that? Anyways, they left sunny Genoa for Norway and by the tone in the postcard it doesn't seem like they were too impressed by the weather situation we have up here during our so called "summer". We called them up for a chat about what's going on.

Vice: Hey guys, why did you decide to head north?
Ex-Otago: We've been recording our new record in Bergen and it's gonna be amazing.

How on earth can you get that warm, cozy, Ex-Otago, Genoa, summer feel in rainy Bergen, full of depressed black metal fans?
Ha ha. Don't know, but I think we managed. We brought that organic wine you guys drank with us, maybe that helped.

Yeah, that stuff was great. What else happened?
Well we had the guys from I Ragazzi della Prateria, who made the Ex-Otago videos "Rhythm of the Night" and "Giorni Vacanzieri", follow us around and there's a video in the making so we won't tell you what happened – it's funnier on video.

Well, you better make the record sound good because I'm counting on becoming a millionaire when the record comes out. Tell us about your way of funding the recording and what I can expect from it.
I don't know about you becoming millionaire but thanks for contributing though. As you know, we asked our fans to become associate producers by pre-buying the record, thus funding the making of the same. We call the project "ANCH’IO PRODUCO GLI EX-OTAGO" [roughly translated: "I AM PRODUCING EX-OTAGO TOO"] and we're very proud of it. This enabled us to sidetrack big labels and shit, but more importantly, produce the record.
