PHILADELPHIA - I HOPE I LIVE THIS WAY UNTIL I DIE

Remember when your favorite T-shirt had a patchwork of psychedelic calico prints sewn on in neon thread, shitty stoner line drawings of cartoon dogs were on the cutting edge of illustration, and everyone was freaking out about Providence because that's where you found the best art and the best bands and the weirdest spaces for shows? Then it all went away. Except for Dirt Palace, an all-ladies arts, crafts, and media co-op emporium. They're building a set called "I Hope I Live This Way Until I Die" at Space 1026 in Philly to show how you could live if you were as amazing as they are, with the kind of furniture and weirdness you'd find if you pulled the right book out of a magic bookcase and it opened up to a dilapidated den of arcane artifacts from an era that never existed. It opens today. Psst, Dirt Palace ladies: a lifestyle is a choice, not God's coin toss, but we hope you live this way forever too.
