It's an unlikely and somewhat baffling set of skills, pro skater/pro photographer/pro magazine editor, not to mention a lot for one human, that's Ed Templeton for you. He's crumpled his life into a little ball and somehow that ball turned into a new book of his photos called Deformer, a loosely autobiographical visual diary of total pre-teen embarrassment, middle-finger moments, and thrash-metal fucking. We're talking report cards, religious notes from his mom, crying on the payphone, drawing on the airplane, skating in Tokyo, that kind of thing. Ed's giving a slide show of his work from the book and answering questions at Family this Sunday. Try to ask him something interesting and non-art-worldy, OK?
