Trump Extends Travel Ban to Include Venezuela and North Korea

The White House justified the updates, saying the countries added do not adequately cooperate with Washington.​

Donald Trump extended his controversial travel ban Sunday to include North Korea and Venezuela, a move critics say intends to mask the religious nature of the restrictions. Chad, a Muslim majority country, was also added to the list.

This is the third iteration of the travel ban, an Executive Order that detractors argue is part of Trump's promise of a "complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the United States.

Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Somalia remain on the list. Restrictions on Sudanese citizens were removed. The White House justified the updates, saying the countries added do not adequately cooperate with Washington. Continue reading on VICE News.
