Yankees Mash Four Taters in One Inning, Including a Back-to-Back-to-Back

Oh, you like yours baked? I prefer mine mashed.

You hungry? Me too. What you thinking you want for dinner? A cool salad for a hot summer day? Nah. I'm thinking something a bit heartier. I'm feel like some piping hot spuds.

The Yankees were basically the opposite of Ireland's Great Famine against the Blue Jays in the 8th inning today, as they yielded a heaping bounty of sweet, sweet taters that were a-rip-roarin' for a mashin'. Things started out with Brett Gardner clearing fences out in right field, followed by an insane sequence of Matt Holiday, Starlin Castro, and Didi Gregorius busting out their mashin' sticks to cream them taters up good.
