Listen to Rave Pioneer Joey Beltram's Festival-Ready Banger

It's impossible to think of 90s rave music without thinking of one of its megastars Joey Beltram. With his house hit "Energy Flash," which overlaid a four on the floor beat with the vocal chant, "ecstasy, ecstasy," the producer ushered in one of dance music's most celebrated eras. Now the iconic producer is making a grand return to dance with a track that signals his ascension from underground clubs to the heights of today's EDM music festivals, following headlining spots at Mysteryland, Tomorrowland, Awakenings, and HARDfest, as well as releases on labels like Tresor, Trax, Bush, and Drumcode.

"Together" shows an evolved Beltram. Fans of classic work will immediately recognize his signature punchy bass-drum and sparky high-hat combo, but the producer has stepped up his sound with mighty beats dropped from dizzying heights. By working tropes of EDM into his recognizable club sound, "Together" collapses 25 years of dance music into a six-minute banger.

Backing Beltram up are a gang of producers including the techno wizard Laidback Luke, jungle terror mastermind Wiwek, and hard-hitting house duo Jewelz & Sparks, who each offer up unique remixes of "Together." Where Laidback Luke brings the track almost to a hush, Wiwek provides it with a sense of urgency before Jewelz and Sparks cements into a dance floor crowd pleaser.
