HARD Events' Day of the Dead Will Not Return This Year

Organizers cited "production reasons" for the cancellation.

Day of the Dead–the annual party held by electronic music event organizers HARD Events–will not run this year. According to a representative from HARD Events, the event was never officially announced by HARD organizers.

"HARD decided earlier in the year not to schedule it this year for production reasons," the representative told THUMP. "Preparing for two festivals at two new locations (HARD SUMMER and HARD Day of the Dead) so close together would have been too much of a strain on their resources."

Although Day of the Dead will not take place this year, HARD events recently announced their inaugural run of Australian events, co-presented with Out Here. Events will take place in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane from December 1-4. Featured performers include GTA, Zeds Dead, and Ghastly. Pre-sale tickets are available here.

Additionally, the Renegade Tour, present by HARD and Smirnoff, kicked off September 15 and runs through November 12. Destructo, the producer, DJ and founder of HARD Events, will headline the tour. A wide array of artists will join Destructo on different dates, including Felix Da Housecat and Ganz. Tickets may be purchased here.

Earlier this year, three people died during HARD Summer.
