While Honey Soundsystem might not be a household name over here in the UK — yet — the San Francisco based collective are a force to be reckoned with in the US underground club scene. Honey is a queer DJ/art collective whose members include Josh Cheon (Dark Entries label head), Jason Kendig, Jackie House, and Robert Yang (aka Bezier). They're best known for throwing some of the sickest parties seen over on the West Coast of the US, bacchanalian bashes where you're as likely to catch a Ben UFO as you are a Carlos Souffront.
In addition to a year long partnership with Chicago's esteemed Smart Bar — a venue you'll probably know as the club where the Black Madonna acts as talent buyer — Honey have decided to relaunch their record label which some seriously slamming 12"s courtesy of Bezier and Jackie House.
Ahead of a European tour, we're super psyched to bring you an exclusive listen to Jackie House's rough and raging "Styidve" — it's throwback house, Jim, but not as we know it. If you're into gritty, raw, rumbling, club-wrecking house be sure to check it out immediately.
If you like what you've heard — and chances are you will — why not catch Honey Soundsystem at one of the following venues over the next few months?
