Leonard Fournette Turns Near Disaster into 48-Yard Thing of Beauty

Leonard Fournette continues to dazzle in this still-young college football season.

Syracuse fans might not know three players on their own team, but they know at least one guy's name on the other side of the field. The unstoppable Leonard Fournette struck again this afternoon, turning a sure-fire sack (or worse) into 48 yards for his offense. LSU QB Brandon Harris was almost immediately pressured on a second-and-eight play, and Fournette circled back to give his quarterback some help. Harris managed to pitch it back to Fournette who bobbled it on the run for a bit before gaining control and taking off for the red zone. He was eventually tackled down the sideline at the Syracuse 15.

After a one-yard rush by Darrel Williams, Fournette got the ball again and rushed 14 yards for the touchdown. Syracuse has since cut into the lead with a field goal so we've got a 7-3 score as the second half winds down.
