Sick T.Y. Hilton Catch Set Up By Colts Onside Kick

The Colts caught the Texans sleeping on special teams and recovered an onside kick. Indy then went for it all and almost got it but for a very helpful review for the Texans.

This great catch from T.Y. Hilton was set up by a surprise onside kick in the first quarter. Indianapolis caught the Texans napping and recovered quite possibly the easiest onside kick you've ever seen after Luck and the Colts had to settle for a field goal on their opening drive. Rather than give the Texans the ball, they decided to just hang on to it themselves. All Pat McAfee had to do was tap the ball off the tee and let the ball roll ten yards before picking it up and he had plenty of time to wait because there was no one near the play.

The Colts have now recovered three onside kicks in this young season. No other team has one.

On the very next play, Luck went for it all and seemed to have gotten it when Hilton laid out for a deep ball and Kareem Jackson inexplicably tried to avoid making contact with him as he crashed to the ground. Hilton then got up and dove for the end zone. On review you could see that Jackson actually did hit Hilton in the foot, despite his best efforts. Hilton was therefore ruled down at the five-yard line and Trent Richardson gave the Colts a 10-0 lead on the next play with a five-yard run.
