Who among us can forget the postnatal depression that set in days after the election, when everyone was all silver linings, bathroom hugs, and "hope you're well, considering," emails? "At least music will get better," became our battle cry, the siren song of 2017. Well, the tallies are in and approvals are high—at least for studio albums and world tours! I feel like a dick for writing this already.

Since President Trump's inauguration:

21 Pilots have broken the record for most weeks spent at the top of Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart with "Heathens."

Soundgarden announced a new tour.

Maynard James Keenan is working on vocals for the long-awaited followup to TOOL's 10,000 Days.

Evanescence are working on new music.

A Day to Remember is being given keys to the City of Ocala.

Falling in Reverse, fronted by Ronnie Radke, has a new album, due April 7. 

Linkin Park's One More Light has a release date

Papa Roach has plans to release a new album in May.
