Climb Up A Sorbet-Colored Dreamscape With Django Django In Their New Music Video, "Hail Bop"

Check out Django Django’s dreamy new music video, “Hail Bop.”

Django Django is a Scottish synthpop band that has taken Europe by storm with their critically-acclaimed self-titled debut this past January. In anticipation of their album’s release in the United States, Django Django has put out a music video for a cut off their album, “Hail Bop.”

Directed by British video artist Daniel Swan, the music video features Django Django lead singer Vinnie Neff pushing a giant ball (perhaps the Hale-Bopp Comet?) up an endless flight of stairs, while his bandmates hang out in a maze-like building that has a pool, a sports car, and palm trees. As Neff climbs up the stairs, chrome snake-like tubes grow around the pastel-colored landscape, eventually destroying the entire building. Beautiful and abstract, “Hail Bop” is a visual amalgamation of 90s graphic design, Escher-esque architecture, and The Sims.

Django Django will be released digitally in iTunes August 14th, with a physical album release through Ribbon Music September 25.
