99 Problems In Film Reinterprets Jay-Z's Hit With Film Clips

He’s got 99 problems and a mashup of his hit song featuring Hollywood movies ain’t one.

Jay-Z‘s been making the headlines lately. From releasing the first pics of his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, to the controversial theory we explored last week, demonstrating that if you slow down Nicki Minaj, what you get is Jay-Z. Jury’s still out on whether they are, in fact, the same person.

In the 2004 hit “99 Problems,” Jigga rapped about the good ol’ days—driving around with a sun roof full of coke and getting pulled over by racist cops. Back then, he was plagued by all kinds of issues but thankfully, his bitch wasn’t one of them.

Fast forward to 2012 and “99 Problems” has been cut and pasted into 99 Problems In Film by the incomparable masters of the video mash-up, Eclectic Method. Using a range of popular movies like Fight Club, Pulp Fiction and The Matrix, the end result reminds us of the Hollywood movie mashup of Lionel Richie’s “Hello” we saw a few weeks back.

How many of the film sources can you identify?
