The Canadian chef eats the best of New Zealand in the first episode of the new season of his VICELAND series, premiering this Saturday on SKY Channel 13.
Wherever you go, you know you can trust a fat chef. Matty Matheson teams up with Kiwi fried chicken master Morgan McGlone to explore New Zealand for the second season of DEAD SET ON LIFE. The episode is coming to Kiwi screens this Saturday at 8.30 PM on VICELAND, SKY Channel 13. From the best Hawke's Bay lamb, kai cooked in the thermal waters of Rotorua's Tikitere to a protein-heavy hangi and kaimoana pulled straight from the pristine waters off the Coromandel Peninsula, Matheson tastes the best the country has to offer, and learns about the effects of colonisation on tangata whenua and their culinary traditions. He even finds time—and space on his skin—for a traditional ta moko.
