FREEDOM FEST STARTS TOMORROW

It's the 4th of July weekend, a patriotic clusterfuck of parties and BBQs and fireworks and bad decisions happening at the same time and spread throughout the five boroughs. You'll never make it everywhere, so don't even try. And even if you do, you're just going to feel like you're chasing that one amazing party that you always get to ten minutes too late.

So this year, instead of signing off and resigning you to your own dismal fate, we'd like to kindly say--hey, why not just go to this thing? It's free, lasts all weekend, and the flyer nicely displays the exact date and location of where the parties will be. Easy. The performing bands come from the Colonel Records family, local dudes who put out good records (i.e. King Tuff and more).

When we asked a Colonel Records spokesperson why anyone should care he said, "Because Freedom Fest is what cocaine sounds like." OK, man.
