Looking for some stuff to catch up on this weekend? Whether it's TV, movies, books, or anything in between—VICE has you covered. Read on for our staff recommendations on what to take in during your downtime:

Sing Your Heart Out at Videostarr Open-Mic Night

Videostarr is on a roll. It's moving at the speed of one party every two weeks and they have shown no signs of slowing down. Wait, let’s rewind a little bit. Videostarr is a collective that organizes parties that revolve around the heyday of MTV and one-hit wonders. In a way, it’s #throwback culture in real life. It sounds boring in theory, but they’re actually destigmatizing bubblegum pop. You can’t argue that their cause isn’t noble. That’s why I’ve been DJing some of their events (we love shameless self promotion at VICE). This weekend's is at Yesterday Backyard, and the set up is a little different from usual: it’s a full-on karaoke night. At Videostarr parties, the mics are usually in the hands of the same group of people. This time, everyone can request a song and take turns singing on stage. Yup, everyone has the same chance of belting out "Baby One More Time." Equality for all! — Katyusha Methanisa

Listen to Gardika Gigih’s New Album 'Nyala'

Gardika Gigih is a composer, but obviously he’s not that conservative of one. He's not really a fan of sheet music. He gave a lot of creative freedom for every musician involved in the making of Nyala. In Indonesia, it’s quite rare to see a composer who uses this approach. The debut of Gardika Gigih was released by Sorge Records on Monday, 6 Nov. The CD release includes a pile of artwork and animator Gata Mahardika made a painting to accompany the 13 tracks. — Ananda Badudu

Read the Latest Chapter of 'Shingeki No Kyojin'

Shit is about to go down. But do NOT read this if you haven’t read the first 98 chapters of Shingeki No Kyojin (or “Attack on Titan” in English), one of the greatest mangas of our generation. After slowly learning about the politics of both sides of the Eldians, chapter 99 of SNK presents us with a build-up to what could be the greatest battle in the series just yet. In a mind-blowing development, Eren and co. are now taking the roles of the aggressor instead of just defending their walls. What is Eren’s plan, exactly? Will we see all nine Titans involved in a epic match-up? Who will win and what would it mean to the fate of Eldians? So many questions. — Yudhistira Agato

Interrupted Turns One With an Amazing Party

Jakarta's freshest collective will be celebrating their first anniversary this Saturday at Safehouse. Interrupted is known for delivering powerful vibes through their events like Energia and Kalunga. Brace yourselves for an explosive powerhouse of good times as they celebrate their first anniversary with the whole interrupted crew on the decks with a special performance by Darkbark and LTX7 (a collaboration set between Latex and Indra7). The day after Interrupted will also be on the decks again, this time hosting Another Sundae at Lucy in the Sky for a more laid back Sunday session.— Dini Lestari

Be an editor-in-chief at Tempo newspaper for a week

I’ll go ahead and assume everyone has at least once thought about working in the media (ha!) In my case it was perpetuated by The Devil Wears Prada, the TV series Dunia Tanpa Koma or, my favorite, The Bold Type. But we get it, not everyone can make the leap and work in the media—after all, as Gerindra politician Prabowo Subianto said, it looks like journalists aren’t paid much. Well, good news! During the upcoming Tempo Media Week (November 24-26) at the Gedung Perpustakaan Nasional, Tempo will be holding the competition #RebutKursiPemred where the winner can take over the newspaper's editor-in-chief’s seat for five days. If you’re not older than 35 years old and have interest in journalism, this could be your chance. Send your CV and a one-page essay of your ideas to improve the newspaper to info@tempo-institute.org before November 20. Don’t forget to take a photo of yourself with the newspaper and post it to Twitter or Instagram, using the hashtag #RebutKursiPemred and #TMW2017. So lock yourself in the bedroom this weekend, primp your resume, and write that damn essay. You’ll know if you’re the Next Temporary Editor-in-Chief at Tempo in November 21st 2017. —Syarafina Vidyadhana
