Australia Day commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet in Botany Bay in 1788, and the founding of a British colony in Australia. Many celebrate it by observing our national past times—binge drinking and BBQing piles of meat.For some Australians though, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples, the celebration is much more complex.
