Fan Cannot Help But Profess His Love For Bobby Zamora at Wrestlemania

Where better to declare your undying affection for Bobby Zamora than at a professional wrestling event in Arlington, Texas?

Sometimes, the urge to profess our love for Bobby Zamora is simply irresistible. There's something about Bobby – something about his hairless pate, his lopsided smile, his ability to muscle past a static centre-back and nod home a late equaliser from two yards – that demands our affection. He's an icon of English football, a player who hides the soul of an artist behind a mundane facade.

He thrives on being underrated, he lives to score when the opposition least expect it. Even now, at 35 years of age, he's doing his understated bit to aid Brighton & Hove Albion's Championship promotion push.

In a spontaneous outpouring of love for the former Spurs, West Ham and Fulham striker, one fan has decided to create an "I Love Bobby Zamora" placard and – presumably – carry it with him wherever he goes. In a surreal quirk of fate, that fan happens to have wandered into Wrestlemania 32.

So, standing out amongst the spandex mankinis, leather face masks and rivers of body oil, this Zamora tribute has been raised high above the crowd. As Wrestlemania fanatics scream and boo in their hatred for Roman Reigns, one man has made himself a Christ-like beacon of adoration – shining bright in his love for Bobby Zamora.

Though the people of Arlington, Texas may not know what this means – though the significance of this placard may have been lost on the vast majority of Wrestlemania spectators – we know. We are all too aware of what it means to love Bobby Zamora, to glorify his name using nothing more than a marker pen, an A3 sheet of paper, and a heart full of admiration.

If you were to ask them, the vast majority of those who attended Wrestlemania 32 would tell you that they were there for the wrestling. One man would say differently, however. He was there for the same reason he goes anywhere – his profound love of Bobby Zamora.
