Giuliani on Trump: Some of His Best Golfing Buddies are Black and Hispanic

Trump can't be a racist because he plays golf with black people and hispanic people. Oh really?

Human-ish Mars Attacks villain Rudy Giuliani appeared on MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle and offered a concise point proving, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Donald Trump loves all mankind equally and is definitely not a racist.

"The last thing in the world Donald Trump is is a racist. I've known him for 28 years. The man likes white people, he likes black people, he likes Hispanic people, he plays golf with them. He opened up the first club in Palm Beach that allowed Jewish people, black people, Italian people like me who couldn't get into those clubs, to get into those clubs."

Case closed, liberal media fucksticks!

Well, hold on just a second there Rudy. For starters, Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago may well be non-discriminatory, but the idea that he made it that way for civil rights reasons didn't entirely pass the Snopes.com smell test. He never sued to open up the clubs to minorities, he accused the city of Palm Beach of holding his club to tougher standards than segregated private ones, and used inclusion as a cudgel to get limitations imposed on the club by the city removed. Per a November 2015 article in the Washington Post:

"Trump's lawyer sent every member of the town council copies of two classic movies about discrimination: "A Gentleman's Agreement," about a journalist who pretends to be Jewish to expose anti-Semitism, and 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' about a white couple's reaction to their daughter bringing home a black fiance.

The move infuriated council members, who said it was a distraction from their concerns that Trump's club would spoil a quiet street. But, in time, Trump got most of the restrictions lifted."

The article goes on to note that Palm Beach was 40% Jewish by 1995 and Trump "was not going to attract the old guard anyway," but good on him for moving the equality needle, even if it was strictly business and only for the super rich anyway.

Sorry Rudy, you'll have to excuse us for not swallowing the idea of Trump not being a racist because you can join his well-heeled golf jamboree. You know what would convince us, though? A black or hispanic person claiming to have played golf with him.

I don't know @SamuelLJackson, to best of my knowledge haven't played golf w/him & think he does too many TV commercials—boring. Not a fan.

Hmm, nah? Well, then how about a picture, an official image, of the Donald hitting the links with a black or Hispanic. As he "plays golf with them," should be easy. Let's go to the Google Image machine!

Guess what? There's nothing, unless you count freaking Tiger Woods getting the Gene Sarazen Cup after the 2013 World Golf Championships, Bronx borough president Ruben Diaz, Jr. and the Donald hanging for a photo-op at a course he operates in the Boogie Down tax-free, or several minority contestants from Miss Universe, a beauty pageant Trump owned at the time.

Well Mayor Giuliani, once again, we'll have to take your word on it. You're probably right, your pal's not a racist. You're just going to have search long and incredibly hard to prove it.
