Leather Towel Explain the Difference Between a Nacho Chip and Corn Chip

The Melbourne rockers are back playing some great shows in their hometown this weekend.

Leather Towel are a rock and roll band who formed in early 2012 as a result of spending too much time in Wooly Bully, guitarist John Douglas’ North Melbourne café, record and comic store.

A 12-song LP was recorded by bassist Tom Hardisty (Nun, Woollen Kits) in July 2013 and will be released in 2015 on Aarght records. Today they share “Nacho Chips” one of the songs from the upcoming album Leather Towel IV.

Led by vocalist and guitarist Jake Robertson (Ausmuteants, School Damage, Drug Sweat), the track is a frantic and jerky ode to the delicious though nutritionally void orange snacks.

We sent a couple of questions to drummer Per Bystrom (Exhaustion) to find out nothing more about the band.

Noisey: What’s the difference between nacho chips and corn chips?
Per Bystrom: Uh duh! Nacho chips are made out of nacho, and corn ships outta corn.

What are the best foods to serve nacho chips with besides nachos?
Aubergine dip, Taramasalata, or other Mexican stuff.
