What Musicians Were Wearing and Sharing on Instagram This Week 1/4

Madonna's on (kind of) on fleek, Tay-Tay's flying high, and Drake's feeling especially Canadian in this week's Instagram Report.

In this weekly roundup, we take stock of what musicians were wearing and sharing on Instagram.

It’s a new year, it’s a new you, it’s Madonna trying out some new slang with a pair of hotties in identical Carhartt overalls. I don’t like to start 2015 with this many unanswered questions, but what is she holding on to? A bathtub? A headboard? The shell from Boticelli’s Birth of Venus? And what does she mean by "farmers"? Whatever, this sex party is weird.

Either a lot of musicians live by the beach or in mountains, or there’s a lot of holidays going on this week. Here’s Caroline from Chairlift going the snow route, and making a meta reference to the name of her band by sitting on an actual chairlift. "Life is art", Caroline seems to be saying, sporting an impressive variety of blues and staring off into the distance as though pondering this ideal. Chairlifts travel slow so I guess she had some time to work on that. I’d be scared of dropping my phone, though.

Taylor Swift is probably the only pop star whose private jet looks a bit like your bedroom when you were seventeen. Those pillows. That cat. You’re making it incredibly hard for me to continue being cynical about you, Taylor. Please stop being so cute.

Um, did the Noisey Instagram column just land its first exclusive? Zoe Kravitz, Chelsea Tyler, Cara Delevigne and Alia Shawkat, don’t just pile this on the resolutions-we-forgot list: make this band happen. And wear more bindies. I’m being serious. I want this. DO WHAT I SAY.

Emma-Lee Moss is on Instagram, obviously.
