Yes, punk rock as a fashion statement is pretty lame. Yes, most punks’ outfits look less like an act of rebellion against societal standards and more like an arts and crafts project. And yes, punks should not spend more time on their hair than your aunt Linda. But as goofy as they are, you’ve got to respect a good mohawk. Because while they may be the tamest way to be a non-conformist, let’s face it, they look a lot cooler than your boring hairdo. Here are some of the most epic mohawks, tri-hawks, liberty spikes, and whatever miscellaneous pointy, brightly colored hairdos we saw at this year’s Punk Rock Bowling festival in Las Vegas.(Also check out recaps of day one and day two of the festival.)
