Mordecai Fill Up the Chevy Express and Premiere “Park” On the Eve Of Tour

Best band to ever come out of Silver Bow County, Montana.

Just before they jump on the I-115 and head out on the road, Butte, Montana’s Mordecai are premiering the track “Park” from their forthcoming album Neil’s Generator.

Continuing their blown out noisy proto/garage/punk/psych hemorrhage, the three-piece play with a deliberate lack of fidelity that has been likened to Swell Maps or the Velvets. But it’s more Kiwi than Lou.

In Big Sky Country this is the counter culture.

Guitarist Holt Bodish starts with “What a way to spend the whole day in a park” before the distortion reaches a level that makes it unclear what kind of activity is going on in the park. We're tipping that it’s either sleeping or panhandling.

The seven-city tour will include shows with Richie Records // TestosterTunes label mates Axis: Sova , Watery Love and an appearance at Cleveland’s Horrible Fest alongside Homostupids and Counter Intuits.

‘Neil’s Generator’ is available May 24 through Richie Records // TestosterTunes.
