Listen to Lil B Invite You Over on “My House”, The First Track from his "Black Ken" Mixtape

The Metro Boomin-produced cut is the first look at the BasedGod’s long awaited release.

Can you remember what you were doing six years ago? Me neither, although I know it involved listening to a lot of pop punk, so it's not a time I like to revisit. My point is that a lot can change in six years, although one thing has loomed unfinished over these past few trips round the sun. In 2010, Lil B first announced his Black Ken mixtape, but no music from it has emerged until now. The first track from the the tape, "My House" is finally here, premiering last night via WSHH, and it takes the form of the always gregarious BasedGod pretty much inviting all of us over to come hang out. With production by Metro Boomin and a sample taken from Bone Thugs n Harmony's "Crossroads", it's fun, bouncy and soul-inflected, suggesting that Black Ken might just be worth the wait. And though it's pretty unheard of for a mixtape to take this long in the current fast-moving hiphop climate, what is Lil B if not extremely #rare? Listen to "My House" below:
