Ohio Paper Headline Viciously Trolls Warriors With a 3-1 Lead Joke

Granted, whoever slapped the headline on to the story might be forgetting another certain area team that also blew a 3-1 lead...

Damn, The Morning Journal, did you really have to go there? Sometimes a joke gets run into the ground after 1 million uses—but seemingly, 'the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead' dig is not one of them (depending on who you ask). And when you run it in ink on a local newspaper? You might have just re-ignited the whole trash fire all over again.

Today's edition of Cleveland-area The Morning Journal's sports section had zero chill (true, @lindseyllewllew) when they ran the headline: "Clutch Kyrie Caps Cavs' Christmas" with the subhead, "Warriors blow 3-1 lead (sorry, muscle memory) 14-point lead in fourth quarter." Yes, the Cavs beat the Warriors in the final seconds of the fourth quarter to seal the game 109-108. But damn, that's cold.

Granted, whoever slapped the headline on to the reprinted AP story by Tom Withers might be forgetting another certain area team that also blew a 3-1 lead (*cough - Indians - cough*).
