Woods Bring a Beatles Like Hope on New Track ‘Bleeding Blue’

The New York folk-rockers latest album was written after the US election.

"Bleeding Blue", the latest track from New York folk-rockers Woods, isn't about the autobiography of former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Wendell Clark. It's a lot more delicate.

Taken from their forthcoming album Love Is Love, written after the US election, the song lifts with triumphant horn and the soaring vocals of Jeremy Earl. With lyrics such as "I heard a voice inside me say / If we want love, hate can't stay," the track has a touch of John Lennon about it.

Spanning six tracks, the album is the their ninth overall and follows last year's City Sun Eater in the River of Light.

'Love Is Love' is available April 21 through Woodsist.
