Breaking: Malcolm Turnbull, Prime Minister of Australia, has met Southern rapper Ludacris at a party in New York City.

Ludacris is known for starring in the beloved "2 Fast 2 Furious" franchise, imortalising the phrase "move bitch, get out the way", and posing one of the defining questions of our age, "how low can you go?"

Turnbull is known for being the leader of the Liberal party, wearing leather jackets, and being a big ol' disappointment.

Here's all the information we have so far. The party was hosted by Anthony Pratt, who the ABC describes appealingly as a "cardboard magnate"—his Wikipedia page does indeed reveal him to be the Executive Chairman of the world's largest privately owned packaging and paper company.

It was a charity event, raising money in support of Unspoken Angels—a global non-profit "determined to support, educate, inspire and empower young ladies of the United States and West Africa" who have experienced verbal, mental, and sexual abuse. The organisation is the brainchild of Gabonese model Eudoxie Mbouguiengue, who is the wife of Ludacris. And yes, although Ludacris did once brag about having "hoes in different area codes," he is now happily married to a beautiful and charitable woman.

It's uncertain at this stage how much conversation Turnbull and Ludacris—real name Christopher Brian Bridges—shared at the event. As photos confirm, the two did shake hands and make eye contact. Did they talk about music? Little is known about the PM's tastes—although he did once tell The Australian that he enjoyed the stylings of the Buena Vista Social Club.

Turnbull's wife Lucy was also present at the party, and we can see that she was having a great time—indeed laughing out loud, perhaps at a witty one-liner delivered by Ludacris, or perhaps only out of sheer delight at being in his presence.

While he doesn't look at all out of place next to one of Atlanta's most successful rappers, Malcolm Turnbull didn't just come to New York to party—he's actually been making a fair few speeches at the United Nations General Assembly.
