Que? Como? A Portuguese label takes Dominican merengue into the trap.

Over the next five months, Portugal's Enchufada label—run by João Barbosa from Buraka Som Sistema (aka Branko) and his friend (also named) João—are giving away a ton of free music from the rising stars of tropical bass. This bi-weekly drop is called Upper Cuts. It's time for Season 2 and we're proud to partner with the dudes in releasing these big bad riddims into the world. Shake something!

The third missive from the Upper Cuts series takes Dominican merengue into the trap. Cabo Blanco is the alias of NYC-based Henry Cardenas, who is doubtlessly soaking up all the reggaeton, dembow, dancehall, and other Caribbean and hip-hop beats that the Big Apple has to offer. 20 years after NYC's original "meren-rap" romance—see Proyecto Uno's "Esta Pegao"—we are proud to inaugurate it's bananas baby cousin, meren-trap!

And although this one is called "Saint Devil," it's actually a pretty fun tune. Download it now gratis, baby, and click here for the other installments in the Upper Cuts series from Pocz & Pacheco and Dengue Dengue Dengue!
