Former Subway Mascot Jared Fogle Allegedly Sent Some Disgusting Texts About Underage Girls

Jared Fogle, the disgraced former Subway spokesman, pleaded guilty in August to distributing and receiving child pornography and crossing state lines to engage in commercial sex with minors. He will be sentenced in November and serve between five and 12 and a half years behind bars, as well as pay a fine of $500,000. That's in addition to the $1.4 million worth of restitution Fogle has been ordered to pay out to 14 victims; as of last week, he had paid out $1 million so far, according to the New York Times.

But for the first time since Fogle's plea agreement, new details emerged this week about how he felt about his actions. Suffice it to say the glee with which this guy talks about his sex crimes is enough to make most people sick to their stomachs.

Former Florida radio host Rochelle Herman-Walrond recorded a series of phone calls with Fogle after he casually mentioned to her one day that he was attracted to middle-school girls. The calls went on over the course of five years (!), and apparently comprised a piece—though reportedly not a decisive one—of the evidence collected by investigators. They are being aired Thursday for the first time as part of a two-part episode of Dr. Phil, who interviews Herman-Walford about the audio he describes as "the playbook of an evil monster."

In the calls, Fogle says he likes "all ages" and brags about how easy it is to lure underage kids for sex. "We just start sharing stories, and then, you know, we get a little closer, and a little closer, and a little closer, and before you know it… it just starts to happen." Fogle is also heard on the recordings gushing, "I had a little boy. It was amazing. It just felt so good. I mean, it felt—it felt so good."

Having the conversations, Herman-Walrond confessed to Dr. Phil, made her feel "disgusting. I felt like I was so dirty, my soul was dirty."

Herman-Walrond told Bay News 9 back in August that Fogle "trusted me instantly. He felt there was a confidence there. He was mistaken. I saw it for what it was. I was really looking out for the children." She reportedly lost it and had to turn the recordings over to the FBI when he suggested filming her own two young children.
