Internationally featured artist and designer Jayde Fish has created a series of personalized purses for the upcoming sixth annual Wes Anderson-themed art exhibit, Bad Dads, which will be held this weekend at the Joseph Gross Gallery in New York.
The collection consists of four hand-painted purses each named after their female counterparts: “The Sweet Lime” (from The Darjeeling Limited), “The Felicity Fox” (from Fantastic Mr. Fox), “The Madame D.” (from The Grand Budapest Hotel) and last, but certainly not least, “The Margot Tenenbaum” (The Royal Tenenbaums).
Fish, who gained her inspiration for this project after rewatching The Darjeeling Limited, explains, "I was captivated by the way Anderson was able to convey so much of the plot, the passage of time, the character's literal and figurative baggage, through the precise use of the luggage."
Bad Dads, which opens to viewers this Friday for one weekend, will exhibit all four of Fish’s hand painted cases along with t-shirts which are also available to purchase at spokeart.com. Check out Jayde Fish's purses below:
